Christmas in Chicago
Hello Everyone!
This year we decided it would be fun to get out of the city to go cut down a Christmas tree...I guess Gregg had so much fun last Christmas doing that in Taos he wanted to do it again! We headed to a tree farm up near Wisconsin and found a perfect tree. It was a little scary driving back on the highway with only 3 pieces of twine holding the tree to the top of the car, but we made it.
Since our place is really only one big room, we didn't have much to decorate. We did however find some old school big colored lights to put up in the kitchen. We also have a set of ornaments on the tree from the movie Rudolph...I think its pretty awesome to have both the dentist and the Abominable Snowman on my tree! In other news, school is officially over for me for the semester. I now have only one semester left before my master's is finished (granted I can successfully write and defend my thesis in that time). I'll be spending the break getting caught up on research and enjoying the holidays. I hope you are all doing well and having a great season! Can't wait to see you in Taos!
:) Carrie

Carrie,
Your apartment looks cool. I can't wait to see it. I love how you decorated.
I am surprised that driving back with the tree so loosely secure scared you. I thought for sure that all of those years driving around with a tail pipe barely attached you would realize that twine and duct tape can hold just about anything.
Can't wait to see you after Christmas. Enjoy your holiday.

Carrie,
You guys really will go a long way for the perfect tree. A great job on the apartment. I like the lights around the ceiling.
