Angie suggested that I post a few pictures of our house since we'll be moving soon and many of you have not been able to see it yet. So, here's a quick tour.

Christmas in Chicago
Hello Everyone!
This year we decided it would be fun to get out of the city to go cut down a Christmas tree...I guess Gregg had so much fun last Christmas doing that in Taos he wanted to do it again! We headed to a tree farm up near Wisconsin and found a perfect tree. It was a little scary driving back on the highway with only 3 pieces of twine holding the tree to the top of the car, but we made it.
Since our place is really only one big room, we didn't have much to decorate. We did however find some old school big colored lights to put up in the kitchen. We also have a set of ornaments on the tree from the movie Rudolph...I think its pretty awesome to have both the dentist and the Abominable Snowman on my tree! In other news, school is officially over for me for the semester. I now have only one semester left before my master's is finished (granted I can successfully write and defend my thesis in that time). I'll be spending the break getting caught up on research and enjoying the holidays. I hope you are all doing well and having a great season! Can't wait to see you in Taos!
:) Carrie

Giesler Christmas
Here is our fireplace (well it's actually a stove but does the same job). Notice how the kids stockings are bigger... that's not right. At least this way the kids can't cheat and try to put up an extra stocking to get more candy (lol ... like Mitch tried to pull off).
This is our Christmas tree decorated by the kids (which explains the uneven placement of the ornaments).

Welcome to the Rackers Family Blog
This is a place for the Rackers family to meet and post happenings in their lives. My hopes are that everyone will contribute to this Blog (even the college kids) so that we can stay up on family events. For December it would be nice if we could get everyone to post a picture of their home for the holidays. My pictures will be posted soon.
